Vintage 70s Walk About Hiking Rucksack Backpack Daypack Leather Bottom Bag Rare. Incredible backpack that rarely becomes available. We opted not to wash it because there is a certain patina to the bag that only could come from almost 50 years of use. Overall the bag is in very good condition structurally. The material is solid but as you can see it’s got some discoloration and stains. I believe that a good washing would clean this bag up but that’s only if you want to lose the weathered look. All the leather pieces are in good shape, the interior is fairly clean, the drawstrings and straps are all intact. It appears that the belt buckle is missing but these tight belt buckles can commonly be found online at Amazon. This is a one-of-a-kind backpack with only a small handful still in existence. This thing is honestly much nicer than any vintage Kelty, Jansport, Northface, or any other bag that came later on in the late 70s or 80s. One other unique feature! The suede bottom is shaped at the lower edges in the form of a slight curve that hugged your body. There are also a few metal rods inside the backpack that help give it additional structural shape.
